You'll also find living rooms with wood-burning fireplaces, dining areas, fiber WiFi, satellite TV, washer/dryer, and on-site parking. All guests enjoy complimentary access to estate amenities - heated outdoor pool (seasonal), tennis courts, hiking trails, and sculpture gardens. Window air conditioning is provided in summer months.
Yes. All vacation homes come with linens, towels, and basic toiletries. Beds are made and bathrooms are stocked for your arrival. Unlike traditional vacation rentals where you bring your own, we provide everything you need - you just bring yourselves and your groceries.
Yes, minimums vary by season. Peak seasons - fall foliage weekends, major holidays, and ski weekends - typically require 2-3 night minimums. Off-season and midweek stays offer more flexibility with possible one-night options. Ski season (December-March) vacation homes often have weekly or monthly minimums. Call our Reservations Team at (802) 362-2500 for specific dates and availability.
Vacation homes require a 25% deposit at booking, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. We'll send you a rental agreement outlining the terms. Payment can be made by credit card, check, or bank transfer for larger bookings. Once your deposit is received, your dates are confirmed and we'll provide arrival instructions and property details.
Yes. All vacation homes come with linens, towels, and basic toiletries. Beds are made and bathrooms are stocked for your arrival. Unlike traditional vacation rentals where you bring your own, we provide everything you need - you just bring yourselves and your groceries.
Absolutely. Many groups rent a vacation home as their base and add individual mansion rooms or cottage suites for extended family or additional guests. The Maxwell Suites work particularly well for this - four ground-floor rooms with private entrances near vacation homes. This gives everyone their own space while keeping the group together on property. We offer 5% off when you book 25+ total rooms.
Vacation home rentals do not include daily housekeeping - you're renting the entire home as your private retreat. However, mid-stay housekeeping and linen changes are available for $40/hour if you'd like fresh towels, tidying, or cleaning during longer stays. Just let us know when booking or call the front desk during your stay.
Check-in is 4pm, checkout is 11am. We provide keyless entry with a code sent before arrival - no need to stop at a front desk. Planning to arrive earlier or need late checkout? Call our Reservations Team at (802) 362-2500. We're flexible when homes aren't booked back-to-back and happy to accommodate your travel schedule when possible.
Yes, all vacation homes welcome dogs for an additional $40-125 per stay depending on the property. We ask that dogs remain leashed on estate grounds, stay off furniture and beds, and aren't left unattended in homes. Our 30 acres provide excellent walking space, and Manchester Village offers dog-friendly trails nearby. Jetson, our Canine Concierge, may even greet your pup on the front porch.
Vacation homes typically require 30-60 days notice for full refund, depending on the property and season. Peak season bookings (foliage, holidays, ski weekends) may have stricter policies of 60-90 days. Your deposit becomes non-refundable inside the cancellation window unless we can rebook your dates. Specific terms are outlined in your rental agreement. We recommend travel insurance for expensive bookings.
Yes. Several vacation homes become seasonal rentals during ski season (December-March) with discounted monthly rates. Some guests also book for entire summer months or foliage season. Seasonal rentals include all utilities except heat and electricity, plus full access to estate amenities. Perfect for remote workers, sabbaticals, or extended family visits. Call (802) 362-2500 for seasonal availability and pricing.
We excel at large groups. Rent multiple vacation homes, add individual guest rooms, or combine properties - many groups rent both a vacation home and book mansion rooms for overflow. The Wilburton estate accommodates 100+ guests across all our properties, while Battenkill Mansion (half a mile away) adds capacity for 34 more. We're experienced at coordinating multi-property bookings for reunions, corporate retreats, and wedding groups.
Manchester Village is one mile down the hill - about a 3-minute drive. You'll find Price Chopper supermarket, excellent restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining, and specialty shops for Vermont products. Many guests arrive with groceries from home, stock the kitchen, and cook family meals - part of the vacation home experience. We're happy to provide restaurant recommendations based on your preferences.
