Wilburton Mansion
Built in 1902, The Wilburton Mansion features twelve historic guest rooms with mahogany moldings, four-poster beds, and fine antiques. Each room includes an ensuite bathroom, mini fridge, coffee maker, and TV. Valley-facing rooms capture morning light across Vermont mountains, while grounds-facing rooms overlook manicured lawns and sculpture gardens. The mansion also houses our 400-square-foot bridal suite - a sun-drenched space with jacuzzi tub, Roman shower, and room for your entire bridal party to get ready together. Make your grand entrance descending the mansion's carved mahogany staircase.

We require a minimum guarantee of 22 guest rooms for wedding weekends. This ensures your celebration has critical mass and helps offset the exclusive access we provide to our estate and Marble Pavilion. Six months before your wedding, you can choose to release or guarantee an additional six rooms in the Equinox Views Villa based on your final guest count. Most couples exceed the 22-room minimum easily once family and wedding party book.
Your guests book and pay directly through The Wilburton using a custom link we create for your wedding. You can either assign specific rooms to guests (helpful for family or bridal party) or let guests choose their own accommodations from available options. This system makes coordination simple - no collecting money or managing bookings yourself. We handle all guest communications, confirmations, and payments directly.
Yes, we offer 5% off all lodging when you book 25 or more guest rooms. This applies to individual rooms and suites - vacation homes are priced and contracted separately. The discount helps make destination weddings more affordable for your guests while ensuring significant booking commitment. Most weddings easily reach the 25-room threshold between family, wedding party, and close friends staying the full weekend.
All lodging requires a two-night minimum stay, three nights on holiday weekends. Most wedding guests book Friday and Saturday nights, checking in Friday afternoon and departing Sunday morning after farewell brunch. Some vacation homes may have longer minimum stays during peak seasons like foliage or ski weekends. We work flexibly with guests who can only stay one night, but the two-night minimum helps create the destination wedding atmosphere.

Beyond that, Manchester Village offers excellent hotels and inns within 1-2 miles - close enough for guests to easily reach your celebration but not stay on property. Most weddings find the 100+ on-site capacity sufficient, with only the most distant relatives staying off-property.
Dogs are welcome in vacation homes and cottage suites for an additional $40 per night per dog. The Wilburton Mansion guest rooms are not dog-friendly to accommodate guests with allergies. If you have guests bringing dogs, steer them toward vacation homes, the Maxwell Suites, or Battenkill Mansion. Many wedding couples love having their own dogs be part of the celebration - we've included countless pups in ceremonies and photos.
Encourage guests to book as soon as they confirm their attendance - especially for peak season weddings (summer and fall). Popular accommodation styles like vacation homes book quickly. Vacation homes do not include daily housekeeping - guests have private use of the entire home. Individual mansion rooms and cottage suites receive daily housekeeping with fresh towels and tidying. Vacation home guests can add mid-stay housekeeping for $40/hour if they'd like cleaning or fresh linens during longer stays. Most wedding guests staying 2-3 nights find the home's privacy preferable to daily housekeeping service.
Individual rooms typically require 14 days notice for full refund less a $35 per room processing fee. Within 14 days, guests are responsible for the full amount unless we can re-book their room. Vacation homes have stricter policies - usually 30-60 days notice - because they're booked as entire properties. Your rental agreements will outline specific cancellation terms. We understand plans change and work reasonably with guests when possible.
