Lodging Policies

Hotel room check-in is after 3:00pm. Vacation house check-in is after 5:00pm. Check-out for all lodging is by 11:00am. We will email your key code and directions to your lodging on the day of your arrival. Check in directly to your lodging. We’re happy to accommodate an earlier check-in and/or a late check-out if available - please call us the day before your arrival.

All guest rooms include private bathrooms, cable TV, Keurig coffee makers, mini fridges, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and Vermont-crafted toiletries.
Vacation Homes feature kitchens, dining rooms, fireplaces, decks, fire pits and BBQs.
All lodging includes window A/C and complimentary WiFi, parking and resort amenities.

A 50% deposit is required. For special events and holidays, full pre-payment may be requested. The balance will be processed on your credit card on arrival. If you cancel 14 days prior, we will refund your deposit, less $35 per room. If you cancel or shorten the length of your stay within 14 days of arrival, you are responsible for the full amount of your stay unless we are able to re-rent your room.

A deposit of 50% is required. The balance is due one month prior to arrival by check. Payments are non refundable except to the extent that we are able to re-rent the homes for your dates. If we are only able to partially fill the dates, or re-rent them at a lower rate, we will refund the excess of the new amount collected over the amount owed on your contract, less a $250 cancellation fee ($750 fee for The Wilburton mansion). No refunds shall be provided for cancellation or delay due to weather, illness, travel delays, change of plans, power outages, late arrivals or early departure. The Wilburton is not liable for events beyond its control which may interfere with your stay.

The Wilburton offers dining only for catered events. Hotel rooms have Keurig coffee makers and mini fridges. Maxwell Suites also have microwaves. Vacation homes have fully appointed kitchens. Jetson, our Canine Concierge, welcomes all pre-approved pooches to stay in all lodging except The Wilburton Mansion. Click here to register. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels always stay free. Other breeds are $40 per night, per dog in guest rooms & $125 per dog, per length of stay in vacation homes. We recommend crating your dog when left alone. Housekeeping will not enter guest rooms if the dog is not crated. Dogs must be leashed on the property. Dogs are not allowed in the Mansion, except for special dog-themed events.

The outdoor pool is open from 7am - 7pm from Memorial Day to mid October and is shared by all resort guests. . There is no lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised at all times by an adult. You expressly assume the risk of any harm arising to you and others in your group from your use of the pool and premises. Please keep the pool gates closed. Glass is not permitted in the pool area. Smoking is not allowed in the pool area. Dogs are not allowed in the pool. Occasionally, it may be closed for private group events.

Our new indoor heated pool is open from 10am to 8pm. It is only available for private swim times The price is $150/hour or $250/two hours. From November through April, all vacation house groups get one free hour of indoor pool swim time. Call 802.362.2500 to reserve pool times at least 48 hours in advance. No food, drinks or dogs are permitted in the pool building.

The Wilburton is a boutique hotel and not all rooms can accommodate cots. Cots must be requested 24 hours in advance at a fee of $25 per night. Please respect the listed occupant capacity of lodging as it varies.

Housekeeping is available from 10am - 12pm. If you would like housekeeping, please turn Do Not Disturb sign outside your door to "Welcome, please knock." If you prefer privacy, leave the sign as is.

Homes are cleaned before and after each reservation. Additional housekeeping may be available for an additional fee.                                         

We're happy to give you a tour of the historic Wilburton mansion if it isn't booked by another group. The mansion has become a popular venue for private groups, family reunions and weddings. Use of the mansion indoor space is not included with lodging.

Local regulation requires all outdoor music (and loud outdoor gatherings) to end by 10pm on weekends and 9pm midweek.                     

Vermont law prohibits smoking of any kind indoors. There is a $500 fine per violation. If smoking outdoors, leave cigarette butts in receptacles, not the ground.

Fireworks and sky lanterns are prohibited under VT law. $10,000 fine.
